SunCrest OMNI Home Health, we understand the importance of finding wellness and independence.  Our team of dedicated caregivers offers professional and personal assistance to individuals who need support, therapy, and health education.  We work closely with you and your family; your facility’s rehab team, and your physician to keep you in the familiar surroundings of your home away from home during your recovery back to wellness and independence. SunCrest OMNI Home Health offers services including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and Specialty Services. Physical Therapy is provided by qualified professionals who are responsible for supervising and participating in the application of a wide variety of physical therapy treatments. Our registered physical therapists work with our patients to restore their mobility with treatment that includes strengthening exercises, transfer techniques, home exercise programs, and assistance with the use of walker, cane and crutches. These treatments enhance the rehabilitation of physical disabilities, injuries and disease processes. Physical therapy is provided under the direction of the physician. Our occupational therapists assist our patients with functional handicaps, such as paralysis or loss of limb, and help them to relearn tasks including eating, cooking, bathing and simple housekeeping. SunCrest Healthcare therapists utilize techniques for sensory integration, energy conservation, work simplification, and joint protection and a therapist will also design, fabricate, and fit orthotic and self-help devices. They teach compensatory techniques to improve the level of independence in “Activities of Daily Living,” also known as ADLs, as well as teach therapeutic activities designed to restore physical function. For example, an Occupational Therapist might construct a device that will allow a patient to hold a utensil so they can feed themselves. Occupational Therapists can often assist a patient in regaining independence in the ADLs such as dressing and meal preparation. By doing so, the patient can be maintained in the home rather than in an assisted living or skilled nursing facility.
