Hospice Care Center - Orange City is 18-bed care center is located on five acres of wooded land and open fields in the heart of West Volusia. The architecture combines home-like familiarity with state-of-the-art efficiencies. Each patient room is located in a six room pod with individual bathrooms, climate controls, telephone, internet access and a television. Each room has a sleep sofa to accommodate family members. In addition to the patient rooms, each wing of the care center has a sitting room for visitors. There is a Chapel available for patient and family use. Halifax Health - Hospice has been serving Volusia, Flagler, Orange and Osceola counties since, 1979. It has been our goal is to provide patients and their families with expert and compassionate end-of-life care. Halifax Health - Hospice is dedicated to providing extraordinary, compassionate and professional end-of-life care. Our approach to care is simple. We provide expert and compassionate care to patients and families, while honoring their wishes and assisting in celebrating their lives one day at a time. We improve the quality of the lives of our patients and their loved ones by reducing the anxiety, pain and burdens that may accompany illness. At Halifax Health - Hospice, we have a collaborative approach to care. Every day, our uniquely specialized team of physicians, registered nurses, social workers, spiritual care counselors, aides, bereavement counselors, complementary therapists, and volunteers work collectively to provide exceptional care for patients and families. We believe a person’s life should be cherished and celebrated. We have cared for patients in Volusia and Flagler counties for over 35 years and have become the established not-for-profit leader in providing hospice services in this community. Today, we continue this mission, enabling our patients and their families to make the most out of every moment, especially at the end-of-life.
