Encompass Health Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital is a 126-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital that offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services designed to return patients to leading active and independent lives. Our hospital provides a wide range of physical rehabilitation services, a vast network of highly skilled, independent private practice physicians and HealthSouth therapists and nurses, and the most innovative equipment and rehabilitation technology, ensuring that all patients have access to the highest quality care. Designed with our patient’s care in mind, Encompass Health Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital offers 60 rooms with televisions, telephones and wireless internet capabilities. In addition to caring for general rehabilitation diagnoses such as orthopedic, neurological disorders (Parkinsons’, multiple sclerosis), amputation, cardiac, fractured hip, pulmonary, pain management, multiple trauma and arthritis, Encompass Health Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital has specialized inpatient programs for stroke, brain and spinal cord injury. Other services offered include outpatient, day program and community brain injury re-entry program.

Encompass Health Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Hospitals (CARF), and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). We are state-designated in both spinal cord injury and brain injury rehabilitation. Encompass Health Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital’s Bridge and Day Rehabilitation are certified for The Adult Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program by The State of Florida Department of Health. Rehabilitation is covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. The hospital has contracts with most major insurance companies and is willing to negotiate with other companies as needed.

In addition, our hospital requires a minimum of three hours a day of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and/or speech therapy, at least five days per week.
